People wonder if one of the roles that their trainer will take is that of an active training partner. Some clients want their trainer to be sweating along side them as they go through their routine. The answer to this question is - maybe.

For me there are two questions that I need to answer first.

  • What does the client need/want?

If the client needs this type of motivation to successfully push through their workout at the highest level of output I will join them in their effort.

  • What do I need/want?

Sometimes, it makes sense for me to incorporate some of my own fitness time together with a client. I make sure that my involvement does not in any way negatively impact what my client needs or wants. I will regularly break from my activity to insure that my client's form is the best it can be.
